Skin Cancer Checks

Being in the tropical north, we are familiar with the dangers of sun exposure in causing skin cancers. Our doctors are competent in the detection and management of most skin cancers. This includes taking biopsy samples to be sent to a histopathology laboratory to obtain a diagnosis, removal of basic skin cancers and liquid nitrogen treatment for sun damage. We are also able to remove most moles and skin tags. More complex skin cancers will be referred to other specialists for management.

Travel

There are many things to consider before travelling overseas. Of course packing appropriately is important, but it is also important to ensure you have received the appropriate immunisations beforehand. Keep in mind different vaccines need to be performed at different time periods before you travel, so sorting this out early is important. For this reason, we recommend visiting us at least 2 months before you intent to travel.
