Childhood Immunisations
- Our team of doctors and nurses can administer all vaccines as per the child immunisation schedule. Ask about combining an immunisation visit with a full child health assessment (height and weight check, hip check, eye check, head circumference and child health questionnaire).
Skin Cancer Checks
- Being in the tropical north, we are familiar with the dangers of sun exposure in causing skin cancers. Our doctors are competent in the detection and management of most skin cancers. This includes taking biopsy samples to be sent to a histopathology laboratory to obtain a diagnosis, removal of basic skin cancers and liquid nitrogen treatment for sun damage. We are also able to remove most moles and skin tags. More complex skin cancers will be referred to other specialists for management.
Sexual Health
- We understand that for many people, sexual health matters can be a private issue and can be difficult to discuss. You can be assured that our staff will respect your privacy and behave in a professional and discrete manner. If you are concerned you may have contracted a STI, rest assured our staff can test you for most common sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia, gonorrhoea, HIV and some forms of viral hepatitis. It is recommended to see your doctor immediately if you suspect you may have contracted a sexually transmitted infection, because early detection and treatment is very important. Home Visits
- Home visits will be provided for regular patients whose condition prevents them from attending the surgery. Home visits may be made by prior arrangement at the discretion of the Doctor.
